Job Description
Constellation Search Group is looking for a Controls Engineer for a full-time direct hire opportunity. In this role, you will lead engineering development for projects that drive operational success. Operating within an entrepreneurial environment, you will ensure that projects, processes, and occasional products are delivered with exceptional quality, efficiency, and consistency.
Experience:
- Instruct and guide the operation, setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant electrical and control systems.
- Identify and implement improvements in electrical and control systems processes.
- Optimize both new systems and enhancements to existing processes and facilities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all matters related to electrical and control systems.
- Troubleshoot and program Programmable Logic Controllers, including ControlLogix and PLC5.
- Design, maintain, and improve Human Machine Interfaces.
- Develop and refine the plant's electrical power distribution systems (covering 4160V, 575V, and 480V).
- Design and optimize controls networks, such as DeviceNet, ControlNet, and Ethernet.
- Keep comprehensive documentation for all plant electrical and control systems up to date.
- Oversee management of control system servers, logic controllers, software, and backup processes.
- Perform system administration for the automation control system hardware, network, and software.
Qualifications/Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in instrumentation, electrical, and controls maintenance in a continuous process manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 years of programming experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix and PLC5 platforms.
- Proficiency in industrial communication systems such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Modbus, and Back Net.
- Experience using the Rockwell Applications Software suite (including RSLogix, RSLinx, and RSNetworx).
- Strong AutoCAD skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
