Job Description
Constellation Search Group is looking for a Data Engineer for a full time direct hire opportunity. In this role you will maintain and enhance our data pipelines and storage systems. In this role, you will work in tandem with product teams, software engineers, and integration teams to ensure seamless data flow and accessibility, empowering our organization to make data-informed decisions.
Experience:Qualifications/Skills:
- Data Pipeline Construction: Architect, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines that handle large volumes of information efficiently.
- Data Integration: Consolidate data from multiple sources such as relational databases, APIs, and third-party datasets into a cohesive, accessible format.
- Database Architecture & Management: Create and manage databases, data warehouses, and other storage solutions that align with our business objectives and data requirements.
- ETL/ELT Process Implementation: Develop and oversee Extract, Transform, Load (ETL/ELT) processes to ensure the smooth and accurate transfer of data between systems.
- Data Quality and Governance: Maintain high standards of data integrity and availability by implementing rigorous monitoring, testing, and validation protocols.
- Collaborative Problem Solving: Partner with data integration engineers, business analysts, and software developers to understand and fulfill data-related needs.
- Process Automation: Streamline manual workflows and data processes through automation to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure that all data systems adhere to relevant data security, privacy, and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in roles such as Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar.
- Proficiency in relational database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Demonstrated expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and managing ETL/ELT workflows.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Understanding of data governance principles and best practices for data quality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective data architectures.
