Vice President (VP) of Operations

Job Description

 Constellation Search Group is seeking a Vice President of Operations for a full-time, direct hire position. The Vice President of Operations is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving the operational excellence in the construction industry. This executive will manage all aspects of operations, from resource allocation, safety, quality, processes, training, retaining talent, profitability, customer satisfaction, and identifying needs across all business units.
 
  Responsibilities:   
      
  1.    Operational Strategy and Leadership:  
         
    •   Develop and execute operational strategies to support the company's short and long-term business goals. 
      •    
    •   Assist in fostering a high-performance culture focused on excellence and continuous improvement. 
      •    
    •   Ensure alignment between operational initiatives and company objectives. 
      •    
    •   Implement best practices and processes including scheduling, resource planning, and risk management. 
      •    
    •   Manage workforce planning and development, ensuring each division has the appropriate staffing levels for project demands. 
      •   
      
    2.   
  2.    Financial Oversight:  
         
    •   Work closely with the finance team to analyze profit margins, cost-saving opportunities, and financial performance of operations. 
      •    
    •   Identify and drive initiatives for operational cost reductions without compromising quality. 
      •   
      
    3.   
  3.    Compliance and Safety:  
         
    •   Ensure all projects/ managers comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and building codes. 
      •    
    •   Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring the health and safety of all employees and subcontractors on job sites. 
      •   
      
    4.   
  4.    Customer Relationship Management:  
         
    •   Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure that customer needs are met and that projects align with client expectations. 
      •    
    •   Resolve escalated customer issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner. 
      •    
    •   Help maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty. 
      •   
      
    5.   
  5.    Technology and Innovation:  
         
    •   Leverage technology and innovation to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and drive competitive advantage. 
      •    
    •   Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies that could enhance the company's operations. 
      •   
      
    6.  
   Experience:  
      
  •   8  years in operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the roofing, construction, or restoration industry. 
    •   
  •   Proven track record of managing large-scale projects and operational teams, ideally growing a company from $20M to $50M  
    •   
  •   Strong understanding of safety and compliance regulations to the construction industry. 
    •  
   
  Qualifications/Skills:   
      
  •   Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities. 
    •   
  •   Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. 
    •   
  •   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
    •   
  •   Deep understanding of financial and operational metrics. 
    •   
  •   Knowledge of project management software and other industry-related technologies. 
    •   
  •   Strong negotiation and contract management skills. 
    •

  Salary: Salary range is commiserated with professional experience.
