Job Description
Constellation Search Group is seeking a sales minded engineer for a full-time direct-hire Sales Manager position. The technical sales manager understands the technical aspects of a product and supports the entire production and sales process of the products.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the regional sales managers and directors to engage legacy HVAC users for the purpose of business retainment and growth.
- Manage relationships of accounts in the small to medium category.
- Spend time with regional sales managers to learn the process of selling and supporting HVAC products as the need for future Regional Sales Managers is growing.
- Work with existing costing structures to maintain companywide profit margin objectives.
- Communicate with the sales team to understand customer demands and offer sales support where necessary.
- Work with the customer experience team to create quotes, guarantee product standards and ensure product delivery.
- Establish customer rapport and acceptance.
- Help clients to solve problems with product usage.
- Recommend new and improved products to the customers and explain how the equipment will be more cost-effective.
- Prepare and give technical presentations to explain to customers how the products work.
- Qualify and nurture marketing-generated sales leads.

- Ability to review and understand engineering prints and models. Identify root cause of customer issues. Communicate effectively with both internal and external engineers on technical design topics. Have a working knowledge of dynamic mechanical design and refrigeration technologies.
- Technical Sales: Solve practical problems and deal with variables during customer interactions using the knowledge of product and company capabilities. Maintains customer satisfaction. Maintains records and promptly submits information. Overcomes objections with persuasion and persistence. Have a fast-paced but calculated approach. Will be main point of contact for sales managers, engineering, and operations for custom connector projects.
Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years in a technical sales role.
- Experience in the heating and cooling equipment industry
